People love turtles. Everyone.
And I love sharing turtles with people.
Below are some pictures of the fun times I have had catching turtles with my community

Learning to mark turtles

Collecting data!

When we found this snapping turtle, a plastic newspaper wrapper was tightly bond around its shell (where finger is pointing). The turtle must have gotten stuck in the wrapper years ago and grown around it. It’s a sad example of how pollution affects wildlife but an excellent example of ho resilient critters can occasionally be. We cut the wrapper off and let this gal go!
